They have a minimum of 7-8 years of post secondary education before obtaining their professional designation. The scope of practice for Chiropodist and Podiatrist allows them to treat skin conditions, nail conditions, subcutaneous lesions, bone deformities, and biomechanical problems. Chiropodist and Podiatrist are the only regulated health professionals whose scope of practice includes the provision of orthotics.
