Description

Wendy Hoxha is a licensed Chiropodist at Waterloo Foot Clinic and Royal City Foot Clinic. She has previous hands-on experience working at the Michener Chiropody Clinic, Waterloo Foot Clinic and the Diabetes Center at Health Sciences North (in Sudbury, ON). Prior to completing her Chiropody degree at the Michener Institute at University Health Network (UHN), she completed a Biomedical Biology Degree at Laurentian University in her hometown of Sudbury, ON.

Summary

Chiropodists and Podiatrists are the only regulated health professionals that specialize in biomechanics and orthotics. They have a minimum of 7-8 years of post secondary education before obtaining their professional designation. The scope of practice for Chiropodist and Podiatrist allows them to treat skin conditions, nail conditions, subcutaneous lesions, bone deformities, and biomechanical problems. Chiropodist and Podiatrist are the only regulated health professionals whose scope of practice includes the provision of orthotics.
