My clinical approach is client-centred, culturally responsive, trauma-informed, anti-oppressive, supportive, challenging, empathic, direct and LGBTQ-affirmative. I offer a warm and holistic approach that is strength-based and action-oriented: grounded in theories of acceptance and commitment therapy, narrative therapy, cognitive behavioural therapy, and mindfulness. I strive to establish a safe and nurturing space where this personal growth can thrive, where vulnerability is not just accepted but embraced, where change is cultivated, and where connections are cherished and honored.

Summary

At LifeCycle Counselling we recognize how difficult it is to take the first step towards therapy, speak about your difficulties and explore uncomfortable emotions. We are a diverse group of therapists, many of whom have had our own mental health challenges and obstacles. We use client-centered approaches because we understand how important it is to meet you where you are. We respect differences, opinions, values, and attitudes. Many of our team members have extensive experience in dealing with a wide variety of issues and are familiar with various therapeutic modalities.
