Dr. Michael Kaplan, Optometrist O.D Dip. Optom. F.O.A (S.A) Dr. Michael Kaplan graduated in South Africa in 1981. He attained his Doctor of Optometry degree from the Illinois School of Optometry in 1989. Dr. Kaplan worked at the Johannesburg General Hospital and the St. John's Eye Clinic in Baragwaneth Hospital, Soweto. He has had private practices in South Africa, England and most recently in Toronto. He has served as a speaker for various companies such as CIBA Vision, Vistakon, Bausch and Lomb, Alcon and Nikon, on the topics of contact lens products, spectacle lenses and materials.
