Description
Dr. Poirier graduated as a dentist from the University of Montreal in 1984 and began his career serving in the Canadian Armed Forces, including a mission with the United Nations in Cyprus, before transitioning to private practice. He later returned to university to specialize in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Laval University (1991–1995), earning the title of Fellow of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery. He then completed an additional year of advanced training in maxillofacial reconstruction in Montreal, Miami, New York, and Toronto. Dr. Poirier also served as President of the Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons of Quebec from 2013 to 2016, supporting his profession.
